South Carolina. South Carolina helped in the war by doing many things from making uniforms from textile mills to training soldiers to fight. South Carolina had many different forts like Fort Moultrie, which was used to look for German u-boats, or Fort Jackson, which was used to train soldiers. South Carolina was a coastal state, so they sent off planes from the coast and Columbia. In Greenville, SC they held training for woman air force service pilots.

Hideki Tojo. Tojo was born in Tokyo, Japan, he was born in a military family.Tojo was the military leader of Japan during WWII. In 1941 he led Japan to war. He had great success but also many disasters, and losses. He issued orders in the Emperors name but never actually consulted with him. He wanted more land and resources for Japan, so he led attacks on countries around Japan including China. After the war the Allies arrested him and had him hung.
